Services will remain available via email or by phone. Questions about tax payments or bills are directed to the Treasurer and Tax Collector at ttc.lacounty.gov . Thank you for your cooperation and patience. The COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak has caused widespread disruption throughout the world and at home. At the Office of the Assessor, we believe it is our role and responsibility to continue providing essential government services while implementing preventative measures to ensure the health of the public and our employees during this time. The Los Angeles County Dept. of Public Health has posted new guidelines limiting the time a person should spend in public and reminded everyone to keep a 6-foot distance between yourself and strangers when in public. As such, we in the Assessor’s Office want to encourage members of the public to submit their inquiries to our office via email or phone instead of visiting us in person. The good news is that we can handle most inquiries this way. This is a safer option to provide the highest-level of Assessor services during this public health challenge. At this time, please understand that longer wait times for services may occur while public access to our offices is limited and precautions for unnecessary exposure and social distancing practices are in place. If you have already filed, you still have until May 31 to file amendments. Thank you to the many businesses, large and small, who have already submitted their statements. If you are able to, please consider submitting your statement as soon as possible, it is tremendously helpful to the Assessor’s Office. Note: not all businesses are required to file the statement. You are required to file if: you are sent a form by the Assessor’s Office OR have $100K+ in business personal property (machinery, equipment, furniture).
